Samuel Umtiti to demand Barcelona match Manchester United’s contract offer? Thursday’s transfer gossip

Samuel Umtiti will demand Barcelona to match the mega money Manchester United deal he was set to be offered, according to reports.

French defender Umtiti was reportedly set to be paid just over £100,000-a-week after tax by United.

Jose Mourinho was allegedly prepared to pay his £54million release clause to take him to Old Trafford to add another dimension to his defence.

Sport report that Umtiti now wants similar money from Barcelona if he is going to sign a new deal at the Nou Camp.

Umtiti’s current deal runs until 2021 but he could be tempted to leave in the summer if a similarly attractive offer for his services is made.
